Beginner Fencing Classes for Kids (Ages 7 - 12)

Looking for a fun, challenging sport that builds focus, coordination, and confidence? Allez Fencing Club’s Youth Learn to Fence program is the perfect introduction to épée fencing—designed for complete beginners, with no experience or equipment required.

What Is the Youth Level I Learn to Fence Program

Our beginner fencing course is a 4-week program that teaches students the fundamentals of movement and blade control through structured, hands-on lessons. You'll learn footwork (advances, retreats, lunges) and blade work (parries and ripostes), all in a supportive, community-focused environment. Once you complete the program, you're ready for our level 1 class which gets into more depth on these techniques.

We provide all fencing gear, including an épée, mask, glove, jacket, and underarm protector. Just bring athletic clothes, water, and a readiness to move!
