Level 2

The Level II Épée class is for students who have graduated from Level I or for fencers with prior experience assessed by the coaching staff. Training is held 3–4 times per week, with private lessons optional but recommended for continued growth. This class focuses on advanced footwork, bout tactics, and strategic development, with students encouraged to compete at local or regional competitions to apply their skills in a competitive setting.

Age Groups

We have three Level 2 classes based on age: One for ages 10 and younger,  one for ages 11-15, and one for young adults to older adults (anyone over the age of 16).

Do I need to be a member of the club to take a group class at Allez?

Yes, you do need to be a member to take group classes. However, members enjoy a discount on the private lesson fee plus access to open fencing and use of the gym. Contact us for more infomration about a club membership.

Do I need my own equipment?

At Level 2, it is expected that fencers have their own equipment. We can help with this.

How many classes do I need to attend?

When you sign up for Level 2, you should plan on attending two, 120-minute classes per week. We have multiple sessions per week to choose from so you can pick and choose which sessions to attend. However, we recommend sticking to a regular schedule so you can build relationships with the other class attendees.

How do I get started?

The best way to get started is to contact us to set up a meeting with our head coach so he can assess which level is right for you and your development. Contact us to make an appointment.
