Private Lessons

One-on-one instruction helps fencers improve faster. These one-on-one sessions offer focused coaching tailored to refine technique, timing, or strategy based on each fencer’s needs. Lessons are tailored to the individual’s style and development needs. Many fencers take them weekly or bi-weekly alongside group classes.

When and how many private lessons should you plan?

We recommed starting private lessons once you start the Level 1 Training. At this stage, taking at least one lesson per week or every two weeks will help you progress. If you are serious about fencing and are intending on competing, you will want to take at least one per week. At Level III, private lessons are required as part of the training program.

Do I need to be a member of the club to take private lessons with an Allez Coach?

You do not need to be a member to take lessons with a coach at Allez. However, members enjoy a discount on the private lesson fee plus access to taking group lessons, open fencing, and use of the gym. Contact us for more information about a club membership.

How do I schedule a private lesson?

Lessons with the coaches are scheduled at the front desk. You can arrange lessons when you visit or contact us to set up a discussion. If you need to cancel a scheduled lesson, please give us at least 24-hours notice and plan to schedule a make-up lesson.
